PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: To assist Human Resource Departments, on a temporary basis, with summer season and assist with special projects as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. In addition to the requirements listed below, regular attendance is an essential function of this position.

  1. Ensures that all actions are in concert with the Board policies as well as the mission statement, beliefs, objectives, and parameters found in the Board's strategic plan.

  2. Participates in job training and professional growth opportunities in order to enhance ability to perform the essential functions of the job.

  3. Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.

  4. Assist the talent team with new hire onboarding appointments, performing such tasks as:

    1. Facilitating the completion and collection of employment forms

    2. Fingerprinting/background check

    3. Preparing and submitting drug screen authorizations

    4. Issuing badges

  5. Provide support with the creation and maintenance of historical records/personnel files.

  6. Supports Talent Acquisition team with job offers.

  7. Maintain security of confidential information.

  8. Answer incoming department phone calls when call volume is excessive.

  9. Supports additional areas of Human Resources with special projects as needed. 

 
QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma. Students enrolled in a Human Resources or Business Management degree program preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  1. Ability to demonstrate qualities aligned to our core values of Character, Communication, Collaboration and Continuous Improvement.

  2. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

  3. Strong oral and written communication skills.

  4. Able to work independently with little supervision as required.

 
WORK CALENDAR: Summer Months

WORKING CONDITIONS:  Moderate in-district travel as well as intermittent in-state and out-of-state travel.  Intermittent prolonged and irregular hours of work.
