Expected pay for this position is $21.72 - $25.55/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: The Lead Security Officer provides operational guidance to department staff and operates in Security Officer role as needed. This position also ensures services within the department meet security and safety standards by providing oversight and guidance to front line staff and collaborating with appropriate leadership.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School/GED
- American Heart Association CPR
- International Association for Healthcare Safety and Security Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO) within 1 year of hire.
- National Incident Management System (NIMS) within 1 year of hire.
- LCMMC, HMMC/SHMC: Active FOID Card
- Two years experience in Security, Law Enforcement, or Military Service
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates Degree or Completion of coursework in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Sociology, Psychology, or related experience.
- Three years of professional experience in a healthcare setting.
- Certified in Management of Aggressive Behavior and Tactical and Practical handcuffing.
- Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors, interact cordially and communicate with the public, effective oral and written communication skills, active listening skills, ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively, ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately, and attention to detail, ability to operate computer systems effectively, knowledge of Microsoft Office.
