Pay range for this position is $34.49 - $43.97/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is a Salaried position.

This position will support the OSF College of Nursing in Rockford, IL

POSITION SUMMARY: The Instructor Simulation Lab Faculty operates, maintains, and ensures access to simulation/lab equipment and supplies while serving as a resource for nursing students during laboratory practice and simulations. Other responsibilities include partnering with faculty to guide and provide simulation-based education to all students; collaborating with course faculty regarding the goals and objectives of simulation activities; and providing recommendations regarding the design, implementation, and evaluation of simulation activities. Additionally, the position collaborates with educators to identify student learning needs, educational strategies, learning objectives, and learner assessments. Assists with data collection for student and program outcomes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Master’s degree in nursing

Experience: Experience in educational program development.

Licensure/ Certification: IL Reg Nurse License; IL APN License Healthcare simulation certification within one year of hire.

Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Doctorate

Experience: APRN with 2 years' experience with high-fidelity simulation equipment, task trainers, and simulation development

Licensure/ Certification: Simulation Healthcare Educator
