Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides a timely and effective response to unanticipated facility needs, minimizing risks to patient and team members, to maintain safety and avoid interruption of service.
- Performs and manages assigned tasks including preventive maintenance and on-demand work orders, on equipment and buildings, withing the established time frames while meeting departmental expectations for quality of work.
- Performs minor electrical, plumbing and HVAC tasks.
- Assists in the completion of special projects including insulating, painting, demolition and general clean up.
- Completes mandatory detail documentation of tasks performed including time spent performing tasks.
- Effectively communicates with customers, peers and leadership.
- This position provides potential opportunity to learn basic plumbing, electrical wiring, calibration of thermostats and hospital bed maintenance.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE
Maintain a valid driver's license
Have and maintain driving record per Mercy’s HR-01 Fleet Safety policy
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must successfully pass the Driver’s License Check and/or Credit Check depending on position. Must successfully pass the WI Caregiver’s Background Check and/or the IL Healthcare Worker Background Check.
Must be able to follow written/oral instructions.
PAY RANGE:
