ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains a professionally operating pharmacy and conducts self as a role model.
- Staff primarily as a hospital pharmacist but may be required to work in other functions of the pharmacy operations in support of the department.
- Is an expert hospital pharmacist who relies on skills of comprehensive knowledge and experience.
- Provides staff development and education in area of hospital pharmacy.
- Participates in formulating pharmacy policies and procedures in the provision of pharmaceutical care.
- Maintains practice by ongoing professional literature review, continuing education and self-evaluation.
- Maintains oversight of partner training, adherence to annual education and certification requirements.
- Collaborates with manager on oversight of daily operations.
- Assists with partner performance appraisal.
- Facilitates problem resolution.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy program
Leadership/Supervisory experience preferred.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE
Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy program
Wisconsin/Illinois license
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Computer experience, including internet and email.
Strong accuracy skills
Excellent interpretive/analytical skills for pharmaceutical calculations for drug dosage, IV rates, etc
LEVEL OF SUPERVISION
Work requires a moderate level of independent judgment along with good interpretative and interpersonal skills with justification and accountability to the Manager, and Director.
SUPERVISES
Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians.
PAY RANGE:
