Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The incumbent in this position is responsible for all activities pertaining to the preparation and service of all food and drink items in a quick service restaurant outlet.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Casino Rockford their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members to provide superior guest service.
- Welcome every guest to improve guest satisfaction and to promote positive gust relations.
- Inspect and clean dining area regularly.
- Practice and observe the safety rules and regulations in all dining areas.
- Responsible for all comps, offers, and point redemptions.
- Present check and collect settlement for all necessary items.
- Complete all opening and closing side duties.
- Stock areas with all necessary items, during the shift at well as the end of the shift.
- Maintain cleanliness of all dining areas.
- Have detailed knowledge of all food menu items.
- Have detailed knowledge of all coffee and tea beverages, including specific steps for preparation.
- Maintain and clean equipment according to instructions.
- Follow all policies and procedures regarding alcohol sales and service.
- Be knowledgeable of property facilities, services, hours of operation, in-house events, conferences, and amenities to proactively assist guests.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with culinary team to maximize guest satisfaction.
- Other departmental related duties and assignments as directed by management.
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Attend seminars when needed.
EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a high-volume environment.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), guest service and interpersonal skills.
- Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional demeanor.
- Ability to deliver a service level, which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable dining experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):
- Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and IGB Regulations.
- Must successfully pass background check.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Must be able to work nights, holidays, and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Must have the ability to anticipate guest and employee needs.
- Must have good communication skills and maintain friendly, personable attitude always.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
ABILITY TO:
- Must have valid Food Handlers Card, Liquor License, and IGC Badge when working.
- Must be able to stand 50% of shift, walk 50% of shift.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to move throughout the business (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods of time.
- Ability to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists.
- Must have the ability to withstand noisy environments.
