POSITION SUMMARY Prepares a systematic approach to the cleaning, waste & recycle disposal, Preventive Maintenance, monitoring and inventory of fluids, equipment and supplies to perform the tasks defined in the Fluids program. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assists Maintenance personnel as required.Uses overhead cranes, hoists, lift trucks, conveyors, personnel or burden carriers, and hand trucks to move parts, materials, machinery, and apparatus.6S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain): Lean Principles & standards will be ongoing.Sump cleaning of machines-Clean sludge from machines and separators per PM or Work OrderClean & maintain Dowtherm type water-based systemsRefractometer monitoring and adjustment of Aqueous based coolantspH monitoring and adjustments of Aqueous based coolantsDaily records & tracking/monitoring of coolantsServe as pre-treatment system back-up operatorPick up trash and dispose of properlyPick up chips and composite sludge/wasteEmpty used/oil drums, vacuums, and totesMaintain inventory bulk coolant supplies used in operationsCheck and top off/fill satellite aquas and/or oil stationsClean Mop sink screens & dock sump and trenchUse floor scrubber to clean aisles as neededAerosol can collection and puncturing when neededCollect & properly dispose of various recycled materials including but not comprehensive: Filter material, paper, cardboard, aluminum cans, e-waste, scrap wire & motors, plastic, misc. metals.Work with snow team for snow removal if needed.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Ability to solve with problems by using good judgment based on priorities and logic.Perform and Document work or other duties as required.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Knowledge of janitorial supplies and equipment.State licensed driverGeneral Maintenance including painting, moping, cleaning, and general housecleaningSelf-starter to work on project assignments.Environmental Material Handler (certified in house) SKILLS & ABILITIES Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience: Minimum of two years experience in a related field. Computer Skills: Basic knowledge in Word, Excel, and SAP. Understands how to use Company intranet including navigating the Quality Environmental and CIT systems. Must be able to look up a MSDS/SDS and understands EMP / OEFC / QEFC. Other Requirements: Lift Truck operation, able to climb ladders and safe use of lifting device. Work to heights of 12 feet and lift to 50 lbs.Practice and follow the GBP and be knowledgeable in ISO 9001 & 14001. Employee is required to learn, understand, and practice Lean Manufacturing principles within our facility.
