CNC Lathe Machinist Location: Roscoe, IL 61073 Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team in Roscoe, IL. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC lathes, interpreting blueprints, and working with tight tolerances to produce high-quality machined parts. This role requires strong knowledge of GD&T, precision measuring tools, and machining processes. Responsibilities - Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to turn blanks into finished parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T symbols to ensure accurate machining.
- Perform precise measurements using micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools.
- Adjust offsets and tooling to maintain tight tolerances and quality standards.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections to verify part dimensions and quality.
- Maintain machine tools and tooling to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members and engineers to troubleshoot and improve machining processes.
Qualifications - Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T principles and blueprint reading.
- Proficient in using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Experience with setting offsets and tooling adjustments on CNC lathes.
- Ability to work with tight tolerances and maintain high-quality standards.
- Good understanding of machining processes and inspection techniques.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
