Secondary Technician (Laser Marking, Broach, Straightening)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Secondary Technician to join our team in Roscoe, IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating broach and laser marking equipment, straightening parts, performing inventory counts, and ensuring quality through inspection. This role requires the ability to read travelers and blueprints, use micrometers, and handle parts loading and unloading efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate broach machines according to specifications.
• Set up and operate laser marking equipment to mark parts accurately.
• Straighten parts as required to meet quality standards.
• Perform regular inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
• Empty scrap bins and maintain a clean work environment.
• Read and interpret travelers and blueprints to ensure proper processing.
• Use micrometers and other measuring tools to inspect parts.
• Load and unload parts safely and efficiently.
• Inspect parts as needed and report any defects or issues.

Qualifications

• Experience with broach machine setup and operation.
• Experience with laser marking equipment setup and operation.
• Ability to straighten parts and perform basic metalworking tasks.
• Proficient in reading travelers, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Familiarity with micrometers and precision measuring instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to perform inventory counts and maintain accurate documentation.
• Good physical stamina for loading/unloading parts and handling scrap.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
