We are seeking a skilled Gear Grinding Machinist to join our team in Roscoe, IL. The ideal candidate will have experience working with CNC gear grinding machines and gear cutting processes, with a strong focus on precision and quality. This role requires expertise in measurement techniques and the ability to work within tight tolerances, particularly in the aerospace industry.

Responsibilities

• Operate and program CNC gear grinding machines to produce high-quality gears.
• Perform gear cutting and finishing operations according to specifications.
• Use calipers and other precision measurement tools to inspect parts and ensure compliance with tight tolerances.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders related to aerospace components.
• Maintain equipment and troubleshoot machining issues to minimize downtime.
• Ensure all work meets aerospace industry standards and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve processes and product quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in CNC gear grinding and gear cutting.
• Strong knowledge of measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Experience working with tight tolerances, especially in aerospace manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
