Position Overview:
Capable of removing burrs from plastic and metal gearing using brushes, red wheels, files, and other tools as needed.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Able to read and understand job traveler work instructions regarding deburring
  • Able to utilize various methods to remove burrs form gears including filing and brushing
  • Ability to file parts on the lathe
  • Ability to use buffer
  • Understand and be aware of machinery capabilities and limitations
  • Correctly fill out all necessary paperwork
  • Accurately count parts
  • Time input per job
  • Help keep area clean and organized
  • Exercise care when handling parts
  • Strong communication skills required
  • Must have good hand eye coordination
  • Attention to detail is a must
Non-Essential Job Functions:
  • Machine maintenance
Skills/Requirements:
  • Knowledge of all departmental machine capabilities
  • Material handling skills
  • Majority of time is spent seated working at burr wheel
  • Ability to grasp parts against burr wheel
  • Ability to perform visual inspection with the eye loop, naked eye, and other inspection tools
Education & Experience:
  • Deburring experience preferred
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift/carry 20-45 pounds
(upward pulling)

(bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist, requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles)
