Position Overview: Ability to run quality parts through high volume department by loading and unloading parts from machinery and completing other duties including assembly, broaching, and deburring as needed. Essential Job Functions: - Ability to operate machinery in including gear hobbing, gear grinding, turning grinding equipment.
- Ability to ensure parts are properly machined
- Ability to assemble parts as needed
- Verify part quantity with the job traveler
- Make machine adjustments as required to maintain print specifications
- Load and unload machines as per the cycle time noted on the traveler
- Study and determine the part tolerances and methods of measurement for each job
- Record inspection data as required and inspect parts as often as needed to determine the parts are within tolerances
- Communication with supervisor and co-worker as needed to relay progress of job
- Ensure parts are taken to next operation (indicated on job traveler)
- Deburr parts when necessary
- Ability to run more than one machine maintaining run times as required
Non-Essential Job Functions: - Train others as needed
- Work on miscellaneous projects as needed

Skills/Requirements: - Ability to reading blueprints
- Ability to think critically and ask questions of others in order to foster continuous learning efforts
- Ability to maintain cycle count pace and machine pace per traveler requirements
- Ability to use micrometers, indicators, and precision gages
