Organization Overview:

Position Summary:

Prepares, reviews, and finalizes loan documents across consumer, mortgage, and small commercial products. Performs advanced QC and funding verification, oversees title and evaluation ordering, and assists in developing and maintaining departmental procedures and training materials. Requires thorough knowledge of loan documentation, systems, and compliance to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency in loan processing.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Prepares basic consumer loan documents under supervision, including installment loans and, eventually, HELOC early disclosures and flood determinations.
  2. Learns systems (LaserPro, Jack Henry, AccuSystems, SharePoint).
  3. Performs basic funding for installment loans.
  4. Performs entry-level QC and document uploads.
  5. Supports ordering of title, evaluations, and appraisals with guidance.
  6. Ensures all documentation in working files is properly labeled and organized for a complete loan packet.
  7. Completes other projects and duties as assigned by the manager.
  8. Actively monitors our department email inboxes throughout the day and responds within a reasonable timeframe so items are handled timely, which helps keep the workflow moving and supports timely doc requests and funding of loans.
  9. Maintain compliance with and adhere to all state and federal regulations and bank policies and procedures, including, but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, FACT ACT, Community Reinvestment Act, and EEO/AA/Fair Employment Practices.

Proficient in understanding the commercial loan documentation forms, content and processes. Advanced knowledge of policies, procedures and regulations. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Basic understanding of accounting principles.

Position Performance Standards:

Meets productivity and efficiency standards and accurately completes loan documentation requests by established deadlines.

Uploads loans to core and performs maintenance accurately and efficiently.

Maintains an acceptable level of loan documentation and loan servicing exceptions, within span of control.

Complete ‘as assigned’ duties accurately and by designated deadlines.

Qualifications:

HS Diploma/or equivalent and at least 1 year of loan or banking experience preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, filing cabinets and fax machines. Remote work for Level I staff is approved on an as-needed basis due to training requirements and the volume of questions that need in-office support. Level I staff must complete all in-office tasks, including mailing disclosures, on days they are physically in the office and should not leave these duties for others.
