Summary

Conduct inventory valuation and work with manufacturing on inventory control issues. Develop standard costs and perform product costing. Develop and/or improve costing systems. Assist with period closings and audits. Prepare and distribute weekly booking and schedule reports. Prepare various financial reports and analyses. Serve as a liaison with Engineering, Field Service, Manufacturing and Sales.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Analyze gross margin by product groups and produce relevant financial reports. Assists with developing standard costs.
  2. Conduct inventory valuation and work with manufacturing on inventory control issues, including cycle counting.
  3. Assist with financial accounting close by performing inventory valuation, making journal entries and reconciling accounts.
  4. Distributes weekly booking and schedule reports.
  5. Calculate partial billings.
  6. Track RA receipts, warranty, and freight expenses. Provide appropriate financial reports.
  7. Serve as liaison with Engineering, Field Service, Manufacturing and Sales.
  8. Maintains fixed asset database.
  9. Ongoing development and maintenance of accounting database.
  10. Concur administration and Diners Club reconciliation.
  11. Serves as backup to A/P and A/R
  12. Participate in year-end audit.

knowledge, skills and abilities

Must be computer literate and be knowledgeable of Microsoft Office software. Must have advanced MS Access skills and experience and a developed understanding of relational databases. Experience with Crystal Reports a plus. Excellent attention to details. Clear written and verbal communications. Confidentiality is a must.
